Quality management

ELG’s core mission is holding marketable stocks of crude oil, petroleum products, bio feedstocks and biofuels, and ensuring that they are rapidly available at all times. The products we stock must conform to current and anticipated quality specifications and environmental standards, and meet market demands.

ELG has a strong focus on assuring the quality of the compulsory emergency reserves it stores, and on preventing preventing incidents, and harm to human health and the environment.

To these ends it introduced a holistic total quality management (TQM) system certified according to the international DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality), DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 (environment), and SCC ^P:2011 (safety) standards. These certifications ensure that our quality management system is always state of the art.

Environmental policy

Preventing safety risks and environmental impairment has always been a top priority for us.

Our facilities and processes are state of the art, and are designed to prevent harmful environmental impacts.

Both management and the workforce are personally committed to effective environmental protection, and nothing matters more to us than avoiding incidents, and damage to human health and nature.
We show that we take our responsibility for maintaining a liveable environment seriously by operating equipment, such as groundwater and hydrocarbon probes, that goes beyond the legal requirements.

Health and safety policy

Stringent health and safety policies, designed to rule out hazards to our staff and our neighbors, are fundamental to our daily work at ELG. As part of our risk management system, we take a holistic approach to our safety and security systems, and their effectiveness is regularly reviewed. We also insist on safety and environmental standards that match our own at all the other tank farms where emergency stockpiles are held on ELG’s behalf.
